Organization Statement:

Perkins Center believes in the power of the arts to enrich lives, bring people together, revitalize public spaces, help communities thrive and inspire learning. Programs have been far-reaching across Burlington & Camden Counties since 1977 with a special focus on Camden. Perkins Center for the Arts' mission-based work has been focusing on "building a better community with the arts" through facilitating experiential arts and cultural programs; eliminating barriers to the arts; and supporting artists and musicians in their careers. These programs and services not only contribute the cultural health and richness of South Jersey communities, they endeavor to facilitate meaningful experiences through the arts, enrich lives, and inspire learning & understanding, collaboration, interdisciplinary & intercultural experiences. Mission: To promote excellence in the Arts and to provide a wide range of creative opportunities for all people at every level of artistic development. Vision: With the Arts at its core Perkins Center strives to be a catalyst for positive change, engaging individuals and the community. At Perkins Center we value: • an environment that supports the arts as essential to our humanity. • the imagination, knowledge and discipline of art making. • the culture of contribution that has inspired our legacy through preserving and stewarding our creative, environmental and historical resources. • a culture of integrity, respect, inclusion, teamwork, humor, service and excellence.
