Organization Statement:

Moorestown High School Theater Education & Entertainment Moorestown High School produces two full-scale theatrical works every school year. Students participate in the areas of acting, stage management, set construction, scenic painting, lighting, sound, costumes, hair & make-up, music, publicity, program layout, graphic design, videography, and photography. The Fall Play, performed in late October/early November, seeks to expose students and audiences to classic non-musical works by playwrights such as William Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, Agatha Christie, and Neil Simon. The Spring Musical, performed in late February/early March, is a full-scale Broadway musical, complete with a live student orchestra. We perform a mix of classics and contemporary favorites. General Goals --To provide a safe, enjoyable extracurricular activity/social experience for high school students --To improve self-confidence/self-esteem in young people --To provide appropriate preparation for future training/experiences in the theater arts --To provide high-quality productions for the enjoyment of the school community and township
